Movistar+ utilise two different audio technologies:

• In Satellite, Movistar+ utilise a compression and transport system called Dolby Digital (AC-3) that has a bitrate between 0.032 and 0.640 Mbps and 6 audios channels, with 5 five channels for normal loudspeakers and one exclusive channel for low-frequency sounds.

• In IPTV, Movistar+ utilise an evolution of the Dolby Digital system. It is called Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC-3). This standard has a bitrate between 0.032 and 6.144 Mbps and has available until 13.1 channels with surround sound.
