How Movistar+ propose differently

The most important thing in a TV network to gain the audience is the content that you offer. In this way, Movistar+ is updating new characteristics and content in the television of Spain.

Channel#0

It is the main channel of Movistar+. Being a TV of payment, Movistar+ has not to be on the lookout of audience exam. #0 has been becoming in a program’s lab with an elaboration that doesn’t exist in the public TV. This factor makes, at least initially, getting public that doesn’t find anything in the other TV.

The programs of Cero don’t exceed an hour, some even don't last more than thirty minutes. In other words, the content is structured in short programs in very defined time zones. In TV, the winner is the channel that doesn’t change the time zones.

Use of the social network

Movistar+ has the problem of exposing its products and programmes for being a TV network of payment. For this reason, Movistar+ has bet for showing their programmes in the social networks. For example, they upload content of their programmes on YouTube. Another example is that each programme has its Twitter or Facebook account and some of this account are one of the most famous in Spain for posting contain the programme and make fun of it. Doing that, they hope to attract the potential audience.

Big bet on the humour

In Spain, in the public TV does not exist very humour’s programmes and the ones that exist carry on with old humour, it isn't an evolution. In addition, there are not ‘Late Shows’. Movistar+ has realised that and it has done a big bet. #0 has two late shows with the most relevant comedians in Spain. In addition, it has other programmes of humour that are the most viewed programmes. Movistar+ is the house of the comedy in Spain.

Betting for original fiction

In the past, Movistar+ used to be a hub of films and series of other TV networks, mostly Americans TV networks. Bus this has changed. Movistar+ has made a million investment in its own productions. The TV network is presenting some different series with distinct kind of audience in order to gain all of them. Movistar+ has just announced the most expensive budget of a series in Spain.
